They're usually called "casement windows". Never heard the thing about "class" referring to opening windows...
We have casement windows in our house. I guess my class varies depending on how hot it is!

I wish I knew...LOL! But they also said they didn't want us to paint "dark" colors (which we can understand)...and then showed us their apartment and said "see this is nice".
EVERY WALL WAS WHITE AND IT LOOKED LIKE IT HADN'T BEEN PAINTED IN 20 YEARS!!!
I'm convinced they are just coo-coo!!
