Do you think its possible to take care of 2 kids

19 months and 3 years with a stomach virus? See I feel something brewing and I've been going all morning. I'm not going to panic yet, but I have NO help with the kids. I can handle it as long as I'm not vomiting, but what's the likelihood of getting that lucky!

My DD has pneumonia (but in decent spirits) and my son is well so he's in full terror mode. There is nobody I can call to help but DH. He's in the middle of some huge deal and works an hour away.

I'm just wondering if I should try to do it on my own should it happen or just give him a heads up I'm not feelign well and he "may" have to be prepared to come home.

Thoughts?


ETA: general question if you are really sick (not just a bad cold) does your DH take off to help with the kids?

I had the stomach virus last week and DH took off. He had had it the day before and I took care of him so he owed me, lol.
Honestly, it would have been really difficult for me to take care of the kids when I was feeling that crummy.

I have. It s@cks but you just do what you can. I would lay on the floor with them and let them crawl over me. I would ask if DH could come home sooner then later though.

Yes, its awful, but you do what you have to do. DH does not have a job that he can randomly "take off" from, and is gone from 7am until 9pm. Its me. Only me. No help. Its doable, its the worst, longest day ever when you are that sick.... gatorade, and just

DH has never taken off from work when I'm sick. But fortunately I haven't had the stomach virus during work time. Usually I just deal or I call my mom. But if I had the stomach bug and had two kids, there would be no way I could handl that on my own.
