For Parents Who Use In-Home DayCare or Send Their Kids to Out of Home Day-care....

Whether you send you kids to a center, another house or someone comes in.

Can you tell me what you pay your caregiver? I am looking to see what the going rate these days are. My boys will be 2 when I have to send them.

Also, if you can recommend your daycare in Nassau that takes kids part time, please do!

The rule of thumb is $1K per month, per child for full-time care. Some cost more, some cost a bit less.
After they turn 3 and are potty-trained then the costs go down a bit.
Part-time care is not super easy to find so you have to really look and check references. In some cases you have to pay for a min. # of days. Not sure if you need 2 or 3 days. 3 days is much easier to find then 2. You will also get a slight sibling discount with having 2 children in the same place.

Where in Nassau are you looking? We had a daycare thread on the pg board with info that I'll bump for you.
I'm using a daycare center in Nassau that will be $260/wk - it happened to be the cheapest of all the centers I looked at (and just coincidentally the one I liked best). This if for an infant though. I believe most go down once the child is 18 months.
