Do you think this is fair-babysitter traveling with us related
I have a business obligation on Sunday in Myrtle Beach-it is a good opportunity for me and I am going to take everyone(babies and DH) We will leave Friday. My babysitter works for me every day and gets paid $8 an hour. She is usually here 8:30-5 or so. Weekly she has been making around $300-320.
We asked her to come with us-leaving Friday around noon-we will drive everyone in our suv. We told her her fiancee could come and we figured that would sweeten the pot.
Thye schedule we discussed would be this.
Watch the babies from 6PM until we get home from dinner/going out-could be between 11pm-1am at the latest.
Watch them in the morning from 7-10 or so so we can sleep in.
The rest of the time is hers to do what they like-beach, pool etc.
What do you think is fair pay for this.
I have already come to an agreement with her but just wanted to see what you think.
BTW she has worked for us for about 2 months-we have written her a nice card, given her a $50 VISA gift card, bought all the food she likes to eat for her to have here and also gave her a wine rack with 4 bottles of wine

 I would like to be my babysitter!
Funny thing is DH thinks I am "too nice" and she will start to take advantage. I said there is nop such thing when you have someone who is reliable, loves your kids and interacts with them all day long

I live in NC and she had posted on Craigslist. I did not name a price to her. I asked what she would like and she told me that

id say if you were paying their accomodations, that i would give her an extra 50..youre taking her, AND her fiance..basically, if that was me (and i will be nannying soon) i wouldnt even ask for ANYTHING if the family was only expecting such a little amount of hours, and i was getting a vaca out of the deal!!

Don't know how this would go over, but since she seems so reasonable , what if you asked her what type of pay she had in mind and go from there ? Especially if you are (not sure if you are) providing the accomodations- She is basically getting a free vacation

I'll let the cat out of the bag I guess-I offered $150 and yes-they will have their own room in a 2 room condo sort of thing-babies will sleep with us obviously.
So do you guys think thats too much? Not that there is anything I can do about it now

I think you got the best end of the deal! I'm still floored over the amount you got a babysitter for. My 13 year old niece gets $8-10 hour.

 And its going to be 75 degrees all weekend! I'm excited. Great thing is my company is paying for the room. I will get mileage reimbursement and I can also put my meals on my corp card
