Do you wear a cooking apron?

I think I want to start wearing these, going to look on amazon. I just find I ruin lots of tops ( I can get a little messy) trying to cook or bake. Not sure about the cobbler aprons maybe maybe the ones that just tie in the back. Do you wear a cooking apron?

Depends upon what I'm making. But any of the holidays that I host, most definitely. I, too, have ruined some nice tops. It's funny, because now when I host a holiday or big dinner someone will always bring me a new apron as a gift. I've started collecting them. I have some really cute ones from Anthropologie and a few from Williams-Sonoma.

Yes....in fact I tell my daughter to yell at me if I'm lazy about it Chat Icon

Even simple things like cutting peppers (red, orange, yellow) I ruin my shirts.

I have an everyday one, & then a pretty one for guests/holidays. (got it at Homegoods)

Re: Do you wear a cooking apron?

I used to, but it didn't cover me entirely and I would always get something splattered on the spots that it didn't cover.

So now I just use an old tee that I don't care about.

Same here. We do have aprons, but I never use them, except around the holidays when we're trying to be cute! lol!

But really, I get messy. I have powedered sugar in my hair, behind my knee, all up and down my arms. It's ridiculous. I have baking specific tees.

Never. The only time I wear an apron is when I'm doing all the baking around the holidays cause I always end up with flour, sugar, etc... everywhere.

Only when I'm baking. DD has a matching apron that she likes to wear too.

Re: Do you wear a cooking apron?

I do! I love my apron. A friend of mine from HS makes them custom - she let me pick out the fabric, color, etc. She does an awesome job and I think they're like $14

Re: Do you wear a cooking apron?

I do! I have a collection of aprons! I wear the cheaper ones when I am really going to get them dirty, and the nice ones for baking, stuff with flour, non-wet stuff. I love the ones from Anthropologie, but I have them from Vera Bradley, Pottery Barn, 31 Bags, some vintage ones, a few people have made for me. I love aprons.

I wear it when we have company over. Pretty much any other time I am baking or cooking, I am wearing comfy clothes that I do not care about.

No, I don't. When I am in my house, I am always wearing sweatpants and some old t-shirt....unless company is over.

Re: Do you wear a cooking apron?

I usually wear one when I'm baking alot around the holidays or when I have company over for a party. Otherwise I'll just throw a dish towel over my shoulder.

A friend of mine makes and sells the CUTEST aprons. She's a featured vendor on Zulily this week too. Check out her site: Cupcake Provacateur

Here's one of my favs

She's got some "Mommy and me" aprons too:

Always. Most of my aprons are freebies, but I do have some nicer looking ones that I use when I have company.

I have a Martha Stewart apron that is HUGE, it goes past my knees! I use that when I am frying.

Re: Do you wear a cooking apron?

I really really want to buy one ...but I am so cheap and can't see spending money on something intended to get ruined!
