doe- last day of school and summer pay
alot of stuff went down in my building this week, and I've been treated really nasty ever since handing in my resignation. They excessed me before I had the chance to tell them (because my coworker spilled the beans), and are now being really nasty. I am 36 weeks pregnant and can't be putting myself through this stress and anxiety for even one more day.
So my question is, if I called out sick on monday and tuesday, are they able to stop my pay or anything? I am thinking of going in on Monday and leaving my room key with someone else I trust, and just leaving monday mid-day saying I don't feel well. Do I need to present on the last day of school by law? lol

I guess i'll just suck it up. I had my summative meeting today and was told to "sign the papers and leave my office" from my AP, my principal won't even look at me, and a few other small situations here and there. Nothing I can't deal with, but I don't really feel like dealing with the negativity if i have the CAR days and i'm leaving anyway..
was hoping for a nice departure, thanking my admins for everything i learned over the last few years, wishing them success in the future etc etc etc.

If you are under ten days this year, I would call in the last two. I wouldn't even think twice.

i'm leaving early today and taking off tomorrow- this building is wayyyyy to hot and i'd rather be at home with my feet up/preparing for dd to arrive!

Do what you have to do. Take care of yourself and be well.
This is unfortunately the environment that so many DOE schools perpetuate and exactly why people keep their plans to themselves until they legally have to share them.
Congrats on getting out!
