Does anyone have a ff infant that wants to eat every 2 hrs

mine does and Dr. told us us to stretch him to 3 or 4hrs but at least once or twice a day it's so sad to get from that 2-3 hour mark (he cries unles we hold a paci in his mouth. He was ebf for a week and a half and is now 8 weeks old

My son has been doing that on and off for a few weeks now. He is 10 weeks and 4 days old. At his 2 month well check the doctor told me to try and stretch the 2 hours by waiting 10 minutes to start his bottle. It is hard sometimes but I think it is working a bit. He was doing it at night a few times too. I think he was going through a growth spurt. He usually eats every 3 hours now. At night I am lucky to get 4 straight hours.

How much is he eating at one feeding?

Mine did, though he stopped with so many nightime feedings sooner, I forget when exactly.

People kept telling me to feed him more, but he would only eat small amounts at a time, so the total amount of formula he had over the day was about right for his age. But he is a strong-willed kid, and if he doesn't want something, he isn't having it so there was no way to get more formula in him than he wanted. He is still like this with food, but now he is two and I just take it away if he refuses to eat. He is still largely a grazer though, rarely eats so much in one sitting.

My DD is now 5 weeks old and has been starving since birth. She was drinking 3 oz per bottle every 2.5 hours since we got home from the hospital. The doctor said to stretch it to 3-4 hours and to try a paci, but she won't take the paci and just screams. I gave up - she was hungry and I fed her. Now she eats every 3-3.5 hours but takes 4.5 oz per bottle, 7 times per day.

My DD did but she only took small amounts at each feeding. I think she liked the comfort. In time we were able to give her a little more at each feeding and space them out.
