does anyone have an accent wall in their bedroom?

how does it gel with the rest of your design choices?

is it a warm dark color...bright color, light color?

talk to me. I am going nuts with this "fantastic" idea.

We used to in our old apartment. I thought it looked nice!

in our old bedroom we sort of had one...
on three of the walls we had a light sage green on top, then a chair rail, then darker sage green on the bottom... and on the 4th wall we didn't have the chair rail, we just had it all the darker sage green, one solid color.

yes, a dark brown on one wall, then lighter taupe color on the other 3 walls. Bedding is a shiny coppery brown color. Love it.

LR we have a dark red accent wall where the fireplace is, wood molding, and then brooklyn beige on all the other walls.

IMO accent walls totally work and really bring a different feel to a room.
sounds like in your situation it would work - but painting can take a lot of prep time and sometimes if you have dark colors you have to do at least 2 coats. not sure if you can do that in 6 hours!

We do. Our main bedroom color is Behr Sagey and our fireplace wall is Behr Egyptian Nile (dark olive green). We love it. The dark color really contrasts with our white fireplace and bookshelves.

The red is Rasberry Truffle by BM, the beige not sure off the top of my head

We have subtle accent walls in our master BR and dining room. The accent wall in the master is BM Casabella and the other walls are BM Candlelight. In the dining room, we have BM Victorian Lilac on the walls and BM Wet Cement as the accent.

The accent walls are just darker colors of the other walls - on the same color card, a few spaces apart. That way I knew they would coordinate

our walls are white and the wall the headboard is on is BM greenbrier beige

we love the way it looks. we were part lazy to paint the rest of the room, and partly thought the room would be too dark (it's on the small side) if we ended up painting the whole room. it worked out.
