Re: Does anyone plan on making their own baby food?
I wonder if the mamas on Parenting would have a better idea...?
I want to make my own baby food, too but I've not given it too much thought yet. That looks pretty cool, though

Re: Does anyone plan on making their own baby food?
i made my own baby food for my son and will do it again. i don't have that particular product, but any mini food processor will do. then you can put the puree in ice cube trays until frozen, and then the cubes can be stored in labeled freezer bags. it's pretty easy and kinda fun

Cool. I liked this one because it steams it first and then purees.

Re: Does anyone plan on making their own baby food?
I did make my own food for DD and I plan to do the same this time for DS.
My parents got me the baby food maker you're asking about last mother's day and I absolutely love it. I did use a mini-prep food processor, the big food processor, and a food mill that I had bought too. Although it's not difficult to do with those things and it will come out fine, this was sooo much easier and only one thing to clean. You literally steam the food and it is also a food processor.

Re: Does anyone plan on making their own baby food?
I tried making my own for Marron but she didn't like it. I don't know if it is because we started with jarred food and the texture was too different or what, but I'm going to try again with this baby. I'll just try it before introducing jarred food.

Re: Does anyone plan on making their own baby food?
I made my own, and you don't need any special equipment to do it, you can use a braun handblender or a magic bullet. Don't waste your money on something special.
