Does anyone refuse to go shopping on black friday?
i tried it once, last year. almost pulled out all of my hair. it is totally not for me! stores are way too packed, people are rude and pushy. i always said i cannot imagine being at a store at 4am, but gave it a shot last year. however my friends do this every year and can't wait for black friday to come. you couldn't pay me enough to do it again  NEVER

I don't do it - unless there is a ridiculous sale that I'd be foolish to miss. The older I get the harder it is to qualify as a 'can't miss sale'!
I don't like crowds, I don't like following people to their cars for a parking spot, I get impatient on long lines... Black Friday was not created for people like me!
Cyber Monday on the other hand....

I have houseguests staying all weekend & I'm not leaving them or dragging them out shopping. Plus after getting up at 5am on thanksgiving & cookoing & entertaining all day I am not waking up in the middle of the night to shop.
We don't buy tons of holiday gifts so I don't feel pressured to start shopping. I have also found recently that you can pretty much go into any electronics store & haggle them to death. They'll except almost any offer at this point.
My cousin just bought several new TVs at a fraction of the price by doing this.

Never. Its chaos. I'd rather just relax with my family. those deals will be back the closer it gets to christmas.

Honestly, Black Friday annoys me for some reason. I just don't understand the obsession with it. I won't be shopping in any actual store until the holiday season is over - I do everything online.
I will be spending Black Friday with my husband and our puppy, and I will actually enjoy my day off!

Never did and never will.
I have no desire to fight crowds. I have no desire to sit in a line of cars to get into a parking lot. And I especially have no desire to rush into shopping on the heels of Thanksgiving. To me, Thanksgiving is such a lost holiday. Now it's so over shadowed by Christmas since everything starts so early. I LOVE Thanksgiving and I love leftover Friday. Shopping online is different, sitting home, cozy pjs, hot chocolate. But to go out in the am to fight people to get a buy or two? Not for me at all!

if there was a truly amazing sale i might suck it up and go, but there is nothing i want/need this year so i will be avoiding the stores at all costs! i am looking forward to putting up the tree

ME, like I said in the other post. I worked in Retail for over 15 years and cursed that day. I swore I would NEVER shop it. I haven't, and I wont be this year either. I will be in my toasty bed with my DH being a bum.  You cant pay me enough.

Sorry but there is NOTHING that I want or need THAT bad to warrant putting up with that kind of BS.
Nothing is worth my time, stress or aggrevation.
I would have to be getting paid a LARGE sum of money to be even caught dead in ANY store that day...

I can't stand how crowded the stores are on black Friday. The most that I will do is go to Borders because it is right near me and usually isn't that crowded.
