Unless I can buy it online...I refuse to go shopping that day.
I can't even handle the crowds on normal weekends.
Same here.
I'm from OOS and a normal weekend at a mall on LI feels like a holiday weekend back home. There's no way I'm going shopping on LI on Black Friday.

Normally, no. But last year my in-laws were in town from PA, and my SIL wanted to know if I'd go to Target with her. There were a couple things she wanted to get her kids that would have likely sold out by the time she got home.
It was fine- I was actually surprised at how polite people were.  But I don't think I'll do it again. I do a lot online anyway.

I do - the only reason I was in the stores was when I was an employee and being paid. I saw craziness go on and I'd rather be home in PJs and a cup of coffee with my man

I don't even like to go to the mall the month after Thanksgiving. You can't pay me enough to go out the DAY after!

I used to go with my mom & it was never that bad, but we'd go to the Sunrise mall, which isn't realy a haven for serious shoppers. It would a little get crowded around lunch time.
I don't anymore, mostly because I have no idea what to get people this early!

Me! It's hard enough to go shopping pushing around a double stroller on a normal basis. I couldn't even imagine dragging my kids through that pandemonium.

I love it! From my perspective, it's a conquest and a challenge. We set our sights on something we want (usually to give as a gift) and I run in once the door opens and get it. I actually have never missed an item that I wanted. Last year I got DH a great 22-in LCD monitor for Christmas. And afterwards, we go to breakfast. It's victory pancakes, or waffles of defeat. Since I've never been defeated, I always have pancakes! I do it with my dad when we're in MA and with DH the years we're in NY. It's just a nice thing that we do together, and we make it fun and a tradition. And I personally have found people standing in lines to be really nice to talk to. I've never had a problem.

I've never gone shopping that day - there's no need for me to.
I barely like shopping normally - let alone when it is swamped with people. I prefer the deadest day of the year.

YUK! I went for the first time last year, and HATED it! I can't stand crowds of people, and it is definately true...people DO forget how to drive that day. I witnessed an accident last year.

we don't go overboard for the holidays so I would not fight the masses just to save a few bucks. I have shopped on black Friday before, but not early in the AM. I see pictures on the news of those early birds and it gives me a panic attack
