Does it matter if I mix formula and breastmilk together? Or should it be separate?

I've been mixing the breastmilk into the formula...but I just read online that its best to give them separately...I am not sure why?

Did anyone combine the two? I do not breastfeed, just pump a few times/day.

i always did... they say not to because "technically" formula should be tossed after an hour... i am guilty of putting back in the fridge.... and they do not want you wasting your liquid gold.... i used to mix 2 ounces and 2 ounces when ds was little... and had very little waste anyways

i mixed them because i developed mastitis 3 weeks pp and had to rely on my frozen supply to feed ds while on antibiotics.. i didnt want him getting to used to formula because i knew i was going back to no formula when done

I thought too that it was just fine..but then I started thinking that maybe it was messing with his digestion or something..wasn't sure...I'll keep doing what I've been doing, he seems fine w/it this way!
