Does Santa leave a note for your DC?

Santa always left my brothers and I a note when we were growing up. This is the first year that DD is old enough to understand Christmas- so I guess I should probably leave a note from Santa for her!

My dc are 5 years and 7 years and "santa" still leaves a note for them. I always write something along the lines of "Dear Hailey and Logan, you have been very good this year, thank you for the milk and cookies". Chat Icon

Yes. And we keep the notes.. they are kind of a 'year in review'... they mention the best things they did and acknowledge some of the lesser moments and what they need to work on for the coming year. The boys are never very interested in them.. but I think one day it might be fun for them to look back on.

Yup. Santa left DD a note last year & she was SO excited that I'm definately planning to do it again. She took it to Grandma's to show it off.

I am totally doing this but am I neurotic for thinking that when they get older, they will notice my handwriting?

He does...I, er...I mean HE just finished typing it (so as not to recognize the handwriting):

ETA- Candy Cane is the boys' Elf on the Shelf. He also left a note (under Santa's).

Dear Nicholas & Joey,
Merry Christmas!! Thank you so much for the delicious cookies and thank you for taking such good care of my friend, Candy Cane. He visited me every night while you were sleeping and told me all about the both of you.. I am very proud of you, Nicholas. I hear you are an excellent student and a wonderful boy. I hear you sometimes get in trouble at home for not playing nicely with your brother, but I know you are going to work hard at being a wonderful big brother. Joey…Candy Cane tells me you are a sweet and funny little guy. However, you too need to try harder to be a good little brother. That would make me so very happy. So now off I go, back to the North Pole. I will be taking Candy Cane with me but he is going to miss you greatly. Have a wonderful year. Be good!! Hope you love all your presents and have a very Merry Christmas!!!
Love,
Santa

Dear Nicholas & Joey,
Merry Christmas! Thank you for having me as a guest in your house this holiday season. I had such a good time with the both of you. Nicholas, you are such a sweet boy and I made sure I told Santa. Try to be a little nicer to your brother. He loves you very much and looks up to you. Please try to be patient with him. Joey, you are such a funny little guy. Be nicer to Nicholas, and he will be nicer to you as well. I wish you both a WONDERFUL 2010!! Be good to each other and your mom and dad. Be good in school and to your friends. I will miss the both of you soooo much!! I can’t wait to come back to live with you next Thanksgiving! But it’s time for me to return to the North Pole to live with Santa, Mrs. Claus and my elf friends and family. I will see you next year! I love you both so much! Merry Christmas!
Love Always,
Candy Cane

Can you tell the "be a good big/ little brother" is a running theme in this house?
