The backstory: I EBF and when DD was a NB, we thought she had a milk protein allergy—mucus-y poop that tested pos for blood—but after a couple of months on strict dairy/soy/wheat free, nothing changed. She also didn't have any other milk protein/food allergy symptoms--never fussy, no rash, congestion, not much spit up. Her GI did a sigmoidoscopy and said there was no evidence of allergy, but she did have lymphoid hyperplasia—little nodules on her colon that can cause the above symptoms. It's benign and tends to go away in the second half of the first year. And it did. Her stools are completely normal now—both in sight and when tested.

FF to now--she's almost 8 months old: I eat dairy in packaged goods and cheese, but I got so used to not having it that I don't eat a heck of a lot of it. I LOVE almond milk, so mostly drink that.
Recently I started eating yogurt again and the past two nights, I had ice cream after dinner. I've noticed DD has spit up once a day in the am, for the last couple of days. I can't remember the last time she spit up. Is it most likely from the added dairy? Could it just be a sensitivity--not an allergy. Her stools are still fine.

I'm toying with the idea of introducing formula so I can give it to her when I can't be with her. My supply for "extra" milk is getting low now. But now I'm not sure if regular formula will be an issue!
