Re: Does your DH help out with nighttime feedings?
When Paige was getting fed through the night, my DH was up every night with me. And he was working also.
He is like that. He is always helpful. I got lucky in that department.

Re: Does your DH help out with nighttime feedings?
DH always had to get up really early for work too. So in the beginning I tried to do it all, but just couldn't. Sophie slept about 1-2 hours at a time and when we got lucky she would sleep for a whole 3 hours! So after a little while, I would feed her around 6 or 7 pm, then go to sleep by 9 (or just lay down and try to sleep). DH would feed her around 10 or 11 pm and then go to sleep. So by the time she got up for her next feeding around 2 or 3 am, I would have had a few hours of sleep. And after that she would sleep till about 5 or 6 am, so I would get 2-3 more hours in there. And that was on a good night - sometimes she would just wake up and cry for who knows what reason - then I would be up again! Hang in there - it will get better!

Re: Does your DH help out with nighttime feedings?
I personally would never ask my DH to get up w/baby...i am a SAHM and he works hard all day& gets home late from work, I could never expect him to then wake up for night feedings, to me its selfish. I have 2 babies and I was always ok w/knowing its my responsibility. However, on weekends my DH will help w/the night feedings, but not bc I ask him to. works for us.

It was never even a question of whether or not he'd help with her nighttime feedings. Whether he had to go to work or not, he's still her parent. We alternated nights.
same here...and when I went back to work and he was home, I did the alternate nighttime feedings then as well.
I wouldn't have survived without a 50-50 partnership regardless of who was working. Still stands true for now.

Re: Does your DH help out with nighttime feedings?
DH is off now until summer ends - I do 90% of the night feedings (if there is any now) but there are times when I can't even see straight that DH will do one. It also doesn't really pay for him to feed him bc he doesn't know how to wrap him in the miracle blanket so I have to get up anyway.
Once he goes back to school (hopefully night feedings will be gone completely) but I would prob. do them all.
