Re: Does your insurance company cover your prenatals?

I take Primacare also and I think my copay is $30. I asked the pharmacist how much without insurance and I think she said something like $500. Can you imagine? $500 for vitamins??
Holy hell!! For $500 a month, those pills had better guarantee an easy painless delivery aside from providing DC with vitamins!

Re: Does your insurance company cover your prenatals?
I went through hell trying to find an inexpensive prenatal for my insurance. Primacare was teh first one prescribed, and a 3 month supply was $60- which bothered me. So there was no generic, so I called the Dr. office and asked what else they can give me. Then I had to call the insurance co to get a list of those covered with a lower Copay. WEell, they wouldn't give alist- they needed names to search. So I called the Dr office AGAIN, got a list of names, called the ins. co once more.... A real PITA, but my copay was $5 for 3 months.

Re: Does your insurance company cover your prenatals?
Mine aren't RX and can only be ordered through a certain distributor so I guess to answer your question, no they are not covered by insurance.
However, had we taken out the FSA this year like I told DH to do, we would be able to reimburse ourselves through the FSA.

I use Duet DHT & I am paying $40 for a one month supply, and get this- My OB only gave me a prescription for a 1 month SUPPLY!! $40 a month for prenatals is insane in my opinion!
I'm going to look into getting the generic stuff.
this is what im using too and i paid 35 for one month. i think im just going to stay with it cause they dont make me feel sick.
