Dog Day Care/overnight stay
Hi ladies, we move back to the island and I am looking for a place or a person who can take care of our dog.. He is 25 pounds. I would prefer a person with experience that can take care of him from their home as I dont like to leave him inside a crate the entire day. Also, if you know how much they charge please let me knowTIA
P.S. I am in Suffolk county And I am open to anyone from Patchouge to Babylon/Deer Park

My friend uses Houndstown USA & Loves them !!
They have gone for daycare, overnights & training. They have 2 locations: Ronkonkoma & Port Jefferson.

I use a dog sitter in Farmingville. It's $25 a night and the dogs stay in her house.
Norway LOVES it there.....well he loves her dogs

If you find someone you like, can you come back and share? I may be on the lookout for the same next year. My vet's office has a play room where the dogs can be with others during the day and I know they spend time with the dogs too, but not like a structured thing: Towne Line

I've never been to Port Jeff because we were closer to the other location. I have heard good things about PJ.
But I can't recommend Ronkonkoma. We used to bring Brinkley there for day care but he got hurt by the dog of a girl who worked for them. His eyelid was torn in two places.
The girl lied to me and said she didn't know what happened (even though they're supposed to be supervised) and was callous about the whole thing. When I told her I was bringing him right to the vet she said "Well then you can't bring him back here for 7 days." It still makes me so angry.
Her manager told me the truth because the girl called and spoke to her 10 minutes before I showed up to pick up Brinkley. Then lied straight to my face and feigned ignorance.
They offered me a free day but I never went back. To my knowledge nothing happened to her for lying to me.
