my hand on a bible here is an update:
my sister just called my boy.
be ready she says, I am bringing home a bday surprise for us to share and then let's go out for lunch....
this has happened every single day for over a week now.
tomorrow is her day.
I am not going out with them, I am exhasted by all this.

My nephew is tomorrow (the 23rd) and I always make sure to go out of my way to wrap his gift in separate Happy Birthday paper and I always get two different gifts -- we celebrate his birthday separately and everything just to make sure he is not forgotten about and that it is special. People are always telling me to 'lump' his gifts together into one or to wrap his birthday items in Christmas paper.

My friend Jesus has a birthday on the 25th.
Every year I try to plan a surprise party for him. Someone always ruins it. Macy's has a BIG mouth.
I am trying to think of some good gift ideas. I was thinking frankincense but Bath and Body Works is sold out.

This is such a great post. My best friend is a Christmas baby as is my daughter. I was talking to a colleague today whose birthday is on January 2. She made it sound just awful. Like everyone is tired and broke and just not in he mood to celebrate. I thought that must really suck too!

It used to bother me a lot more than it does now. It still annoys me though when someone gives me a birthday present wrapped in Christmas paper. It's the little things people! lol

MIL is 12/23....we give her her presents on 12/24, when we are with the family for Christmas Eve...but I always call on the 23rd, and make sure the presents are in bday wrapping paper...
My God Daughter is the 18th...My cousin decided that as she gets older, she's going to give her the option of picking a date for her birthday party - if she wants a pool party in June, so be it...then there will not be a party in December. That's part of the reason we give our girls their "birthday" gifts on their Christening dates, not their actual birthdays...it stretches it out a little.

don't remind me....not one of my siblings brought over a card, or even a gift for my birthday when we celebrated at my house on Christams day. We did sing happy birthday with a cake. Oh...and my brother whose birthday is 12/23...got a very handsome crisp bill in his birthday card from us...whatever...
