Doulas?

I have been looking into a doula. I was wondering if anyone had used one or was thinking of using one and had recommendations.

Did you have a post labor doula or one for labor and post lobor or just labor?

I live in Sayville but will be giving birth at South Nassau in Oceanside so I don't know where I should choose one from...closer to my house or closer to the hospital?

On average do you know how much they cost? dona.com says anywhere from $300 to $1000 but everything is always more here so just wanted to get an idea.

If you did you use a doula do you think it is worth it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i have a very good friend that is a doula. i did not personally use her but she is amazing.

you will love her if you speak with her. she has more knowledge about being pregnant and giving birth than anyone i know!!
