Has anyone been to him. I have heard really good things about him but, I already am seeing someone else.

I saw him a bunch of times while going through IVF. He actually did my retrieval and I was so scared. He sat and held my hand and said don't be scared. I know we're going to get you pregnant. He also teased me because my ER was on St. Patrick's Day and he said, I bet none of your friends are doing this today . He also laughed and said if we have a boy we should name him Patrick in honor of the day .
Anyway, he honestly is one of the kindest and most caring doctors I know. Not to mention he knows his stuff. I had a great experience at NSUH and am now 10w pregnant with  so he was right!!!!
P.S. You know he's Natalie's Portman's dad, right? But he never mentions her and I would never ask. Still think it's pretty cool.

I went to NSUH as well and believe it or not Hershlag was one of the only doctors I did not see for morning monitoring or procedures. I did however see 4 other doctors, Cohen, Scholl, Rausch and Chu. All were great!!!

he was/is my doctor and i got pregnant with twins on the first IVF try! he's the best!

Wonderful man, wonderful doctor, and a wonderful office.
I'm now 16 weeks with twins.

He wasn't my primary doctor at NS but I saw him amy times and agree with everyone that he was so nice and genuinely caring. All the drs there are great which is really important because you see who ever is in on the days of your monitoring and procedures.

Dr. Rausch was my primary IVF doctor. I adore her. I will say I was a little nervous because she looks so young, but I found out of all the doctors, she spent the most time with me and explained every little detail which I loved.
One other quick note about her: We had her last appt. of the day for a sono at 5:30. That was the day the stupid LIRR had all that craziness and trains were cancelled and delayed. DH didn't get to to the stop until almost 6:00 and he left the city a little after 4.
I picked him and sped there. We were so late. I was crying. I was afraid they weren't going to take me and I really needed that sono for my peace of my mind to make sure baby was ok. DH told me to go without him, but I couldn't because if it was bad news, I didn't want to be alone.
We got there about 6:15. We had to wait until 7. I didn't care. I would have waited till 11. She apologized profusely for making us wait. I said we're the ones that we're late. We were the last ones in the office. She spent so much time with us and wanted to gives us some great sono pics of our so she kept reangling to get a nice shot of both of them. She wasn't in a rush at all. I really liked her.
I think you're in good hands. Plus, during monitoring depending on when your appt. is you pretty much wind up seeing whoever is on duty. I saw every doctor in the practice at least twice. I think I just had Hershlag a bunch because he does a lot of early mornings and I always took 7am appts.

I went to him for a second opinion and really liked him. He is a very sweet and patient man. And also a hugger, which sounds kind of bizarre, but I thought it was sweet.
I ended up staying with my RE but I would definitely recommend meeting with Herschlag.

Ha! He is definitely a hugger!!! he is very touchy feely which is definitely different from many of the other docs I have seen in my life.
I loved him and he did my embryo transfer and I got pregnant first shot!

Dr. H wasn't my main doctor but I saw her for my second IUI. He got us pregnant and for that I will love him forever.
