Re: Dr. Hershlag
I just had my initial consult with him yesterday. I thought he was a little short, and wanted to run routine tests before even addressing a clear issue with my ovaries that he saw during my exam. I suppose he is being thorough, but I still felt a little weird he would not give any information related to what he saw. It was my first appt with an re ever though, so maybe that's how it works?

I use NSLIJ Center for Human Reproduction, my RE is Dr. San Roman however, Dr. Hershlag did my 2nd IVF Transfer and I found him to be very kind and comforting and answered every question I had. Of course I don't use him on a regular basis and can't speak to how he is in the office but for someone he didn't know and had to do the transfer on he was really great.

Re: Dr. Hershlag
Just based on my consult with him, I was not a fan. I also thought he was disrespectful with regards to speaking about my previous RE. He seemed arrogant to me.

He was not my main dr, but one I saw in the practice (you wind up seeing them all). I actually thought he was lovely. He did my transfer and told me I would get pregnant and he was right.

Re: Dr. Hershlag
I only dealt with him on one occasion which was the day of my very first egg retrieval. He did not perform the procedure but gave me a sonogram to "make sure I brought my eggs with me" as he put it. He gave me a hug and wished me good luck. As far as success with him or NSUH overall(getting pregnant) didn't happen. I switched practices and had success twice.
