I am having DD's birthday in my backyard next week. I want to put out maybe 2 alcoholic punchy type drinks that will do well in the heat.
I have had this Sherbet based one before, but not sure how good it will do in the heat....
Any ideas or drink recipes you really like?

I love that sherbert drink. I'd just make two or three large pitchers and then you can swap them out when one gets melty or is empty.
I also pinned a bunch of drink recipes on pinterest. Take a peek, maybe you'll find one you like.

Last year i made a pink lemonade with champagne and strawberries. It was really good. I had it in a drink dispenser with ice.

I love the white wine sangria idea for something like that. You can always freeze some of the fruit that you plan on putting into the sangria and throwing it in when guests arrive. This actually helps keep the drink colder longer without diluting it with ice.

I love to mix 2 bottles of champagne with 1 bottle of San Pellegrino Orange Soda and one of the Lime Soda. Then add some lime slices.

Strawberry Basil Lemonade is a personal favorite of mine and its very refreshing!
I use 1 bottle of strawberry Vodka (Usually Smirnoff)
2 bottles of Simply Lemonade pink lemonade with raspberries
And throw in some cut up strawberries, lemons and basil and let it sit for a bit.

My new favorite liquor is Malibu Red. I went to a BBQ where they mixed Malibu Red, Ginger Ale, & Orange Juice w/ ice in a large drink dispenser w/ ice. It was like being on a beach. SO GOOD!

definitely sangria! I would freeze a couple of water bottles and put them inside like giant icecubes. people can also add ice to it... especially if you make it nice and strong!
Also... margaritas maybe!

I freeze bottles of water and use them to keep the punch or sangria cold.. like ice cubes. You can peel off the labels and put fruit and water in before you freeze so they look nicer.. or even color the water inside before freezing. I find that the stuff goes so fast it's barely a concern.
