DS is becoming a picky eater and it is so frustrating!

He used to eat, or at least try anything. Now if it looks different, he will shake his head no and won't even open his mouth for me and if I put it on his high chair tray he throws it on the floor. He mostly likes finger foods. I feel like his diet is so limited and it is so frustrating b/c I want him to eat healthy.

Here is what he will eat:
oatmeal
yo baby yogurt
banana cut
grape skinned and cut
pear cut up
english muffin w/butter
toast w/butter and a little jelly
waffles
french toast sticks
pancakes
LOVES grilled cheese
and he has snacks like cheerios, cheez-its, goldfish, graham cracker sticks
tator tots
sweet potato fries
carrots (steamed)
applesauce
he ate pieces of hot dog twice but dont know if I should give them to him yet

He HATES any kind of pasta...I have tried every kind. Wants nothing to do with it. I have tried meatballs...he ate them for a while and than decided he didnt like them anymore. He won't eat baby food anymore. Doesn't like chicken nuggets. He used to eat macaroni and cheese but decided he doesnt like that anymore either.

I go crazy food shopping trying to find foods I think he will like but he has just gotten so picky. Any advice?

I think that is actually a pretty good list. I don't think our diet is more varied.

I think u have a good start. I read somewhere that the nutritional needs at a young age are so much

Holy SHMOLY Crissy - he is doing fine - thats a great variety...

I remember you posting that he was eating a lot, but he may be tapering off now because he is through with a growth spurt - kids at this age rarely eat recreationally - so when they are done they are done - I find Cailen goes inw aves - remember my formula post? Now he is back to eating more food and less formula - but he did that in the past, so things keep changing!

Thanks everyone...I feel a little better now. I guess that is a pretty good variety for 11 months. I just want him to be a healthy eater, ya know?

Your list is longer than mine. All I can say is just keep trying new things. DD finally will eat steak after I don't even know how long of trying to get her to even try it.
