DS is sick - WWYD
He was totally off yesterday. all he ate was breakfast the whole day, and then we were out all day and he was just really cranky and tired and feverish and wouldn't eat or drink anything. He would just fall right asleep in the car.
We put him to bed last night at 6PM, he woke at 7AM for a bottle and went right back to sleep. He's still sleeping.
If anyone knows my kid. This is NOT normal. He is not a sleeper. even sick, he's usually up every 3-4 hrs.
Should I just let him sleep off whatever he has and not wake him to eat or drink something or would you wake him at some point to try to get something in him?
Thanks!

Ugh. I hate when they are sick
Personally, since he hasn't been throwing up or anything, I'd let him sleep it off. The weather could be part of it too, Christopher slept almost 2hrs later than he normally does too
Hope it feels better

Re: DS is sick - WWYD
Thanks, Kate.
He woke up at 10:15 (so 16 hrs of sleep! ) and had a few sips of milk.
He was cranky for the last 2 hours and started rubbing his eyes again so I just put him in his crib and he went right back down.
My poor, little guy.
He's only been awake for 2 hrs all day today.

I would call the Ped monday morning and take him in. Keep checking if he has a Temp, and just let him sleep.

Re: DS is sick - WWYD
I would let him sleep and try to get some fluids in him when awake--maybe forget about most food for the moment, the main thing is to keep him hydrated. And take his temp regularly to see if there is a fever.
If he isn't feverish or coughing, etc. I would probably call the pediatrcian and Monday and ask what he/she thinks about seeing them. If it's just a cold virus, there isn't much they can do, and it may take a few days to work though the system.
Hope he is better soon.
