DS not on a schedule
DS will be 5 months old tomorrow and he is still not on a schedule, sleeping or eating. well, going to bed at night has gotten better - usually around 9:30ish. naps during the day are sporatic and so is eating. I talk to friends of mine that say, "oh mine has a bottle every 4 hours and cereal twice a day". it makes me feel like an unorganized mom. we give DS a bottle when he wants one - which seems to be every 4 hours and cereal about 2-3 times a day.
My fear is that when he starts daycare part time in 3 weeks, they will get annoyed at him for being so "non-scheduled"
last night we put him in at 9:30 and he cried alot, he was changed and full, so we timed it and DH rushed to get him, he said it broke his heart.
what to do? will it ever come togther?

Re: DS not on a schedule
I betcha if you write down everything DS does (eating/sleeping) you'll see a sorta "schedule" form
Once you write everything down you can tweek some changes if you want. Writing it down for me with my 1st helped me so much to see it clearer

Excellent point. It may not seem like a schedule to you, but your son knows. I should write down, but I just keep track mentally.

Re: DS not on a schedule
Hey There!
Honestly, DD got on a schedule when she went to daycare! And they won't be annoyed that he isn't on a schedule- but they won't let a child go more than 4 hours without being fed (I think its a law). You are going to have to give them some sort of schedule because they will ask!
And you aren't an unorganized mommy! Daycare now feeds her every 3 hours- and they give her cereal and a veggie at lunch time. The only time they don't feed her every 3 hours is if she's sleeping- they won't wake her just to eat!
It will come together, I promise!! DD still goes to bed around 9:30 or so- but you may find that on the days he goes to daycare that he's exhausted by the end of the day, and this too may help to get him on a schedule!!
As always, if you have any questions, I'm here for you!
