What is/was your feeding schedule for your 4-5 mo. old?
DS has approx. 5-6 bottles a day (6-7 oz. w/2 tsp. cereal in each bottle). I also started spoon feeding him cereal (about 1 tbsp.) 2x's a day (and I started adding a little applesauce...thanks gottaluvmusik).
Here is his general feeding schedule?
7 am: bottle 10 am: cereal & bottle 1 pm: bottle 4-5 pm: cereal & bottle 7-8 pm: bottle And than sometimes I will night feed him another bottle around 10-11 pm.
I want to start adding fruits and veggies but not sure how I should add them into his schedule? Are their any fruits or veggies I cannot give him at 4 1/2 mo.? Which ones did you start with?

Re: What is/was your feeding schedule for your 4-5 mo. old?
My ped told me to start with the yellow and orange fruits and veggies. My DS loves them all so far (except pears)! He is about 4 1/2 months. This is pretty much his schedule...
8:30 -wake uo 9 am -2 tablespoons cereal and a container of fruit, followed by an 8 oz bottle about 30-45 min later
1pm - a veggie with 1 tablespoon cereal and an 8 oz bottle
5pm- a veggie, a fruit and about 30 min later an 8 oz bottle
and then between 8:30-9 on 8oz bottle before he goes to sleep
-Just make sure that when you start giving him fruits and veggies you start a new one and then don't add anything else new for 3-5 days. This way you know if he has a reaction to anything.
My ped suggested I give him the fruits/veggies 3 times a day....like what would be breakfast, lunch and dinner.....but to initially just give it to him with lunch and let him adjust and then add more as he seems to need it.
Also, I got in the habit of mixing the fruit and cereal together and stopped it b/c my little munchkin would not eat the plain cereal anymore!

Re: What is/was your feeding schedule for your 4-5 mo. old?
DS will be four months next week and we just started cereal last week, so his schedule is a little different:
8am-4oz bottle 11am-5oz bottle 2pm-5oz bottle 5pm-2 tbsp of cereal 7pm-6oz bottle 1am-3am-5oz bottle 5amish-5oz bottle
My ped said to start cereal at 4 months, obviously we started a little earlier (was hoping it would help him not want a bottle in the middle of the night, not so much ) and he said we'd talk about fruit and veggies after his next appointment when he is 5 months old.

Re: What is/was your feeding schedule for your 4-5 mo. old?
My DD is 4 1/2 months old and her feeding schedule for the last few weeks has been like this:
9:00am - 7oz. bottle 12:00pm - 2 or 3 tbl of Oatmeal cereal mixed with white grape juice 1:00pm - 3-4oz. bottle 4:00pm - 5oz. bottle 7:00pm - 2 tbl of Rice cereal mixed with white grape juice 8:00pm - 3oz. bottle
My DD hardly drinks the formula bottle and I practically have to force her to eat...she is averaging 20oz per day which I think is very little.
I plan on adding fruits/veggies at the end of the month when she turns 5 months old. I may just feed her the cereal/fruits/veggies without a bottle following and hour later on.
