Dutch Wonderland question
We are prob going to go this summer... we plan on staying around 4 days in the area. I heard it is a small amusement park, so I was wondering if its something we cna visit in 1 day or do we need more time their? Also, if you can do it in 1 day, is it an all day thing, or can I go first thing in the morning and just stay till the afternoon? TIA

Re: Dutch Wonderland question
We went when it opened (I think around 10 or 11) and stayed until around 3, we had a great time and got to go on all the rides a few times.

Re: Dutch Wonderland question
We went there last year and did the whole day. Definately enough to fill the whole day, but I don't think a second day is necessary. As a PP said you'll be near Hershey so you can go there, and you're in the heart of Amish Country so there is lots to see and do there.

Re: Dutch Wonderland question
We have gone 2 years in a row. We LOVE it there. It's great for the younger kids. No teenagers or really long lines, & it's clean. Its an all day thing. Between the rides, shows, & water park. We usually do 2 days there. They are very family oriented. My son is 8 & my daughters are 4 they are already asking to go again this year.

Re: Dutch Wonderland question
Strasburg RailRoad Museum was awesome! even for me haha
I went with my sister to Dutch Wonderland when I was pregnant with Joey last summer, it's def. an all day thing but can be done in one day. I about passed out on the monorail though, it was hot as he!! and windows that barely opened & moved at the pace of a snail for safety reasons obviously but be careful on that thing

I didnt realize about the waterpark. Should I have DS wear a bathing suit or is there a place to change/store your items?

Re: Dutch Wonderland question
We went last year & did the 2 hour preview the night b4 & got on a few rides & walked the whole park. Next day we got there early did rides in the am & then after lunch (they let you leave--there's 20 million places to go outside the gates) did the water park. There are lockers/changing rooms.
They do packages w/ Hershey too...b/c Hershey owns both parks. (like 2-3 day deals)
We also did the Hands on House museum on our way out there...great children's museum.
There's also outlets right outside the park.
