Dyson Vacuum Owners
Which model do you have? How much was it and where did you get it? And of course do you like it, we are thinking of buying one

Loveeee mine  I have the original, the yellow DC07. We just got it, after holding out for so long because of the expense. I am kicking myself for not getting one sooner. We paid $399 last week in Target. And got a $100 Target gift card. Which we'll use, so it makes the $400 seem like $300.

we have the yellow DC07, LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! and DH loves how it cleans the air - he has horrible allergies this time of year.
I bought it at Linens N Things with a 20% off coupon.

We have the purple one, for animal hair (I forget the model #). We love it. Got it at BB&B with 20% off coupon, so it was a little over $300, I think.
ETA: Make that $400. Sorry.

We have the animal (the purple one) we LOVE LOVE LOVE our vacuum! With two dogs...it makes the carpets look brand new everytime.
It was a gift for my bridal shower, but it was around $500...worth every penny

We got the original yellow one when it first came out. I can actually vacuum now without sneezing my head off.
It's the only vacuum I've ever owned that didn't make my allergies worse. I guess that's the HEPA filter in it - it was worth the money to us.
ETA: I use it for the bathroom and kitchen linoleum floors too.

I have the animal too...I actually began getting addicted to vacuuming.

I have the purple one, the "animal" Love it. I just found out the hard way this morning its not so hot when you put that carpet stuff on the floor, it clogs up. But once I rinsed it out it was fine. I got mine for a shower gift so Im not sure what my mom paid.

i have the blue one(dont know what its called) bought it at costco a couple of years ago for $400+.....its "OK" i dont love it, My DH does, i think its too bulky & heavy.

Not really... 
I have the purple one (the animal) and we LOVE it for the carpet upstairs. It's amazing the amount of stuff that it picks up. However, to us, it's only good for that. For the downstairs (which is hard wood), it's not that great and can be somewhat hard to manuever when you need to get under things.
I got mine at my shower. It was $500 i think by my bridesmaids got it at LNT with the 20% off coupon so it was $400.

I also have the animal one. I love it now, but I will probably appreciate it alot more once we are in a house and have carpet.
My mother bought it for me and paid about $500.

We have the yellow one at work and I think it's a POC. I have to pass over something several times to get it to pick up. We have burber throughout the office. It's new and I think my boss got it from Costco. So thumbs down from me on the yellow one.

We have the purple animal dyson and WE LOVE it!!! We use it on the tile floor and carpet and stairs - you just have to change the settings before you turn it on based on the type of floor your wiping.
I got mine from my bridal shower at work, so I don't know how much my Boss paid for it.

Uprights are not made for wood floors - they just spray the dirt around as there is no resistance/traction. Canisters are best for wood floors.

Me too! I used the 20% off coupon at BB&B. I LOVE IT!! I dont really use it for animal hair because my dog does not shed but it works great. Sucks sooooo much dust/allergins out of my carpets in the bedrooms and I even vaccum my hardwood floors since it sucks up everything!
