Do you live near a Trader Joes? They have some very cheap meals to just stick in the oven. When I was in the hospital my husband ate them a lot and loved them.

Hamburger Helper is pretty easy and surprisingly good. They sell whole grain ones now too. I throw in some frozen veggies and make it a one pot meal!

You can grill any simple cut of meat - chicken, pork, etc. on the foreman grill. You can buy some of the frozen veggies like steamfresh which just need to be nuked.
Same thing with baked potatoes and corn on the cob.

I agree with the TJ's suggestion.
I also always keep things like burgers and dogs in my freezer that DH can just grill up along with a can of baked beans.
DH likes plain pasta, and a basic jarred or canned sauce thrown over a scoop of ricotta (when I am too lazy to make my own sauce).
I don't eat 'em, but DH also loves eggs and making homemade waffles and pancakes. He does this every Sunday with DS.
Also bacon. I think every guy LOVES bacon.
Grilled cheese?
Roteiiserre chicken from the deli and a few sides? Boxed mashed? Mac & cheese? Store bought potato or macaroni salad?
Semi-homemade pizza (just buy the dough fresh or frozen) or stromboli or calzones along the same lines.
I know these are definitely not the healthiest of choices but will do in a pinch and are easy.

Wow you're nice. The last thing on my mind when I was going to have either of my babies was feeding DH. He can fend for himself.

I froze a ton of soups, stews, crock pot dinners, etc. DH just defrosted them, heated them up and fed himself and the kids.
Most of my recipes are from skinnytatse.com, and I regularly freeze
Santa Fe Chicken Taco Chicken Chili Barbacoa beef Pork carnitas Potato and leek soup Minestrone soup Bolognese Chicken enchiladas
It takes me about two days to freeze huge batches of each of these meals. I easily have a month's worth of individual meals frozen at any given time.
