Eating question
hi my twins are just 3 months old. Logan eats & sleeps very well but spits up about 1x per day. Alex eats and sleeps less consistently but still well. both pretty much sleep thru the night- eat every 4 hrs per day and take 5.5 - 7.25 oz at each feed.
They both go through what my dh and i call "psycho baby" time a few times a week. Its like they cry after eatign a litle and we take the bottle away, burp him, calm him down etc. then when he cries again we give thte bottle again( if not before). sometimwes it seems that he is crying so ahrd he doesnt see the bottle there othertimes it seems that he doesnt want it. if we take it away he seems to get more upset. Then Logan usually spits up a drop adn then hungrily finishes the rest of the bottle. Alex will be hysterical taking the bottle for a second and then pushing it away repete. since it doesnt happen all the time the dr didnt thkn we shoudl change formula or anythign liek that.
dr said they are gainign weight and spittign up only 1x a day ( or less) its fine. but its frustrating and im not sure if ther is anythign else i should be doing. i thikn logan has reflux. he projectiles, cougghs. hiccups and arches his back. all symnptoms of it. but the dr was not at all concerned. it just makes feeds soetimes very hard.
any tips/ advice for me? logan spits up sometimes ove 1 hour after he eats!

Re: Eating question
If it si not that often I would not think it was reflux either. Our Dr told us that it was not so much a reflux problem but a laundry problem.
We always made sure that they burped every ounce and we switched the bottle to Dr Brown's. Both of those helped us.
If you really think there is a concern, I would take him for a second opinion, though. You are with them way more then a 15 minute visit with the ped.
