It’s sad. Being misinformed, misguided... (I don’t want to use the term “stupid”)...it’s dangerous. It’s terrible when it could have been prevented.
Even the Gov of Arkansas now came out and regrets banning mask mandates, as their state is a war zone.
Louisiana’s largest hospital has zero beds or close to it.
I really hope people take the steps to stay safe and let’s beat this.

I feel badly for his infant son. Innocent victim of his family’s stupidity.
But IMO it takes a lot of balls to act like this and then set up a go fund me.

In an interview Wednesday with the Galveston County Daily News, Mayor Sean Skipworth said he didn’t know if Apley had been vaccinated against COVID.
In every article it states it is not known if he was vaccinated.
Sounds like he wasn’t but assumptions.

It's one thing to quietly not get it and then still be cautious. It's another entirely to rail against masks and the vaccine.

A death is sad no matter what. Not too long ago there was a doctor that constantly would mock and ridicule people who don’t vaccinate. He died a few days after receiving a covid vaccine.

If he was vaccinated that makes it even worse in my opinion.
That means that he got vaccinated to protect himself and others — yet continued to spew his nonsense to others that he didn’t actually believe!
But unfortunately that is the case with most politicians who spew Covid misinformation, but they themselves got a vaccine
ETA his wife is also positive and the baby is 5 months old. Both parents are obese, which is a huge,huge risk factor. Hopefully this baby is not orphaned

From what? If he died a few days after getting vaccinated, the vaccine would not have yet been effective. Knowing what he died from is an important piece to this story

Very sad indeed, it doesn’t matter what side u’re on and the last thing we should be calling them is stupid. I don’t have a link but it was a polish dr, his last name was Rogiwick or something like that?

Yeah because a guy who posts this: "You are an absolute enemy of a free people. #ShoveTheCarrotWhereTheSunDontShine" in response to a Dr. who posted about the efficacy of the vaccine, and who posted a news article about giveaways and incentives meant to encourage people to get vaccinated, wrote “Disgusting”went right out and got the vaccine. Talk about common sense going right out the window...

It's sad when anyone dies but I'll be honest, it's hard to muster a lot of sympathy for a person who publicly rails against vaccines, masks and the danger of COVID and then subsequently dies from the very virus he didn't take seriously.
