Egg Quality Issue in your very early 30's?
I have a healthy child, yet have been trying to conceive a second for over a year. I've had a couple of miscarriages... I just went to a new RE... my CD3 estradiol came back at 90.6, with a low FSH. He seems to think that this may be a slight egg quality issue. I also have LPD. Do I still have hope of having another child? He said we may start Clomid next cycle. TIA!

Re: Egg Quality Issue in your very early 30's?
I just found out today that I have a diminshed ovarian reserve which usually means less quality eggs. I was told that this information DOES NOT mean I can't or won't get pregnant, just that it may take longer to get to those good eggs. As for the Estrogen, it supresses FSH so it would make sense that if the E2 is high, the FSH is low. I've had readings all over the place lately with CD3 but seems that reserve and quality are by NEW issues!
BTW: I'm 35 so mid 30's

Re: Egg Quality Issue in your very early 30's?
I am 34 and egg quality issues are also a newly discovered issue for me. I have mature follies on cd3. Not good! So we have to do things alittle differently, but was also told it in no way means I CAN'T have another baby. If left to do it on our own RE said it may take longer and may mean more mc's. Good luck.

Well, meds (stims) might be able to help increase the # of eggs, therefore a better shot of a good one. Also, making the "environment" as good as possible: quieting auto-immune issues, hormones in normal balance.
Also, IVF may be an option, they'll see your eggs as they are fertilized and *MAY* be able to pick the ones that appear to be doing the best...or IVF with PGD which tests each embryo for abnormalaites but is very expensive if not covered by ins.

Re: Egg Quality Issue in your very early 30's?
I am 29 and my doctor believes that I have egg quality issues. I underwent 5 medicated IUIs in hopes that with more targets, one of them would be a good egg, but ultimately all were unsuccessful (1 ended in a m/c because of an egg quality issue). I then underwent IVF and like Shawna said, we were hoping that we would weed out at least some of the bad eggs. Ultimately, IVF worked for us and I am 9 weeks pg.
Good luck!

Re: Egg Quality Issue in your very early 30's?
i am 30 and i have mild egg quality issues.. i had 2 miscarriages before that.. so my RE told me that i should be able to get PG.. it just might take longer than normal. we had 4 IUI's to creat more eggs, but they didnt work. so the best option for us now is IVF so they can take the best eggs !
