Egg Quality test 1.2??
Help.
Can anyone help me undertand what this means?
I'm 35. My RE likes to see 1.5 and higher so I'm below that but not a ton.
I'm trying to decide if I need to do IUI or not. I did Femara this month. We're not going to have s/a results back in time for this cycle.

Does AMH level or hormone make any sense?
It's not the FSH, they said it was to test my eqq quality.

I've only had the FSH test done but I have heard of this test before. I'm just wondering why I was never told to have it done From what I've been told there is no way to test egg quality, unless you go through an IVF cycle to see what the quality of the embryos are. Have you had our FSH levels tested?

It's not the FSH, they said it was to test my eqq quality.
I had AMH and yhe result was low and indicitive of poor egg quailty, which it was. I was 35 when I had the test done. I don't recall the exact # but it was in the 1.somethng range. I also had another test with it, it was a whole profile. Despite that (and 2 failed IVF's) I am currently 13 weeks. I added maxigreens, maxiantioxidants and Melatonin during my successful IUI cycle.

What about estrongen? That can effect the FSH level as well (too high E2 supresses FSH).

My estrogen was OK too. I forget what the number was.
I'm starting to wonder if maybe we have male factor issues.  Sperm analysis tomorrow.

An FSH of 8 is a good number. Doesn't FSH and egg quality go hand in hand? And since your FSH is good it means that you have good egg quality? My RE told me that since my highest CD3 FSH has been 12.3, it says something about my egg quality (that I might have bad eggs) but never mentioned anything about doing any additional testing. I'm totally confused  Sorry if I confused you more than helped!

It's OK.
I did a little googling and it seems that both numbers are good. I think not what he loves to see but nothing out of range for conceiving.
We'll see what DH's s/a brings back.
