Eight Month Old Babies-- come in and share

DS just turned 8 months and I am wondering where other babies are at this age

--he LOVES puffs and yogurt melts
--does the army crawl
--has one tooth slowly coming in
--still has 5 bottles/day

What other foods can I give him??

DD eats like a piglet....loves yogurt, is self feeding almost everything - potatoes, carrots, pasta, chicken, peas. Gave her spinach last night and loved it....I pretty much feed her almost anything (within reason of course). Would rather eat "real" food than the purees. Oh, her new love is cheese!

She is EBF and is getting pretty un-interested at this point. She would much rather eat food. While I am at work, she maybe drink 10oz total of pumped milk.

She also army crawls and her preferred method of transportation is rolling, everywhere!

She has 6 teeth! 2 on bottom & 4 on top!!

DS turns 8 months tomorrow!! He isn't crazy about puffs but also loves yogurt melts! He gets 4 7/8 oz bottles a day, cereal with fruit in the morning and a veggie at night. I feel like he is getting bored with what I am making him! I want to make him some pasta! He is crawling all over the place and his first tooth just came in! When are you starting finger foods?

Totally!!!I was shocked at how much DD liked "real" food.....so much better than the moosh - and it totally tastes better! DD is not getting any baby food on thursday....she is getting thanksgiving dinner!!! sett potatoes, turkey and gravy, stuffing, string bean casserole....and she is gonna love it!!


That's awesome!! Now I feel like I am depriving my son!! LOL

Paxton is 8.5 months old eats all of those (has 4 teeth) plus we've tried pancakes, sweet peas, mashed potatoes, sweet mashed potatoes, stuffing, coin carrots, sweet peas. Maybe introduce softer veggies.
