Eisenberg Pediatrics ?
Did anyone else hear that Dr. Eisenberg left the practice? It was on the Sayville Moms Facebook page. I have no other info.

Eisenberg Pediatrics ?
Ummmmm no, my dh just had both kids there on tuesday and they saw nicole. If he leaves wouldn't that mean the practice is closed (consideringit is his practice and there are no other drs in the practice)

Re: Eisenberg Pediatrics ?
Apparently someone else took over the practice. Eisenberg merged with Stony Brook Medicine. Seems like it wasn't his decision to leave....I Wouldn't be a bit surprised if that were true.

It wasn't his practice anymore. He sold to Stony Brook Medicine months ago.

Personal reasons? They won't say where he went? Part time doc there now? So he left just like that and there isn't even a solid full time doc there?? This is very upsetting to me

Ok so I just got off the phone with marissa the receptionist. She confirmed dr. Eisenberg is gone and said it was 100% his choice to leave. They have a male dr who works at stonybrook hospital and another office in miller place but he is only here part time. They are in the process of gettinghim to be full time. The entire staff supposedly love this dr. OObviously the name will be changing.

I called too. Complete shock. Marissa said that the staff is still the same... her mom, Nicole, etc. She said he isn't practicing right now/not going to another office. She said that for now, they are not open Friday/Saturday due to lack of coverage
It was bad enough when Dr. Patel went, but now this!!!!

Re: Eisenberg Pediatrics ?
Honestly- what the HELLL kind of practice is this now with 1/2 a doctor and 2 NP's? And is Dr E sick or something? Why would you stop practicing medicine? Are they planning to send out letters to their current patients?

Re: Eisenberg Pediatrics ?
I tried to quote but it was too long on my cell... I feel like this is a disaster and now I'm left scrambling to find another pediatrician with no advance warning- no letter... No nothing. Im so annoyed... I know things happen and things come up... I just feel blindsided... I can't believe I'm even saying that... But that's honestly how I feel

I agree. A letter would have been the professional thing to do. I have an apt thursday morning so I will see what happens after that. I already didnt like the fact that they are part of stonybrook (not a fan of that hispital). But I loved that I always got an apt and I really like nicole and the office staff. Ugh I feel so conflicted about what to do. I may check out west sayville pediatrics.

Just drove past and the Stony Brook part of the sign was covered over, not the Eisenberg part. Don't know what that means but I'm guessing there's no SB affiliation anymore.
West Sayville is mediocre at best - though I'd describe Eisenberg the same way. He left West Sayville to start his own practice, he practices very differently than them.

It depresses me to hear West Sayville Peds is mediocre now, because that was my pediatrician as a kid, and Hill and LoVece were fantastic.

Eisenberg Pediatrics ?
I just had my baby girl on Saturday and Dr Eisenberg was going to be her pediatrician. We had met with him 2 months ago and loved him. Fast forward to Sunday morning when he was supposed to come to the hospital to check out my newborn, I was in shock when the hospital nurse told me he was no longer in practice. I wasn't expecting her to say that! So we wound up asking west Sayville pediatrics to come check over our baby and the dr that showed up seemed very thorough and nice. We have our first appt there tmrw so I guess we will see how we like it and go from there. I was so upset because I was really looking forward to having Dr Eisenberg be our baby girl's pediatrician!

Wowwwww!! That's unbelievable! I'm sorry that happened to you
It rely sucks... Eisenberg's practice always made it easy to make an appt and their staff is great... What a shame

Keep in mind, they didn't have time to get a letter out to patients... it spread via social media faster than they could react.
We are not jumping ship just yet. We are going to give this new Dr a chance. Nicole is still there and the nursing assistants are all the same as well as Marissa, so the ability to get appointments shouldn't change.
If we don't like the Dr, we will go to Patel. She is at an office on Sills Rd in East Patchogue.

He got great reviews on Healthgrades and ZocDoc or whatever the other site is called. He might be great- who knows I won't jump ship yet either- too much of a hassle with her records, and to be honest, you didn't get to see Dr E much anyway- we were mostly seen by Nicole or the new NP. DD is rarely sick, and when she is, it's usually after hours so we end up at PM peds. I'm sure this will be fine. I was just upset that it happened so fast- it was like a shock ya know?
