Re: Electric Stoves
Posted by theburbshereicome
Ive always had gas, now in my new house i have glass electric....and i have a hard time cleaning it. I bought that cermabryte stuff and im not sure if im using it right but it seems more like a polisher than a cleaner??! And everyone keeps freaking me out saying not use anything on it or it will scratch>!!?!? Are you suppose to add water to that?
I put the ceremabryte on the stove....i wet a green scrubbie pad and scrub the stove. Anything that is really stuck on I use a razor blade to scrap off. I then take a wet sponge to wipe it all down. once its clean, I take a paper towel to "polish" the stove top.
The top will not scratch as easily as everyone says. I drag my pots across the stove and I never scratch the surface. Of course I am careful that I do not put anything that is not smooth on the bottom on the stove...like a pizza stone.
