Elf on a Shelf Question

Our boys just received their first elf and they are so excited! I know you move him each night but does he stay in that spot all day or does he move back to his box for the day?

Re: Elf on a Shelf Question

Great, thanks! If he is somewhere low how do you get the kids to not touch him and what if they do? My 6 yr old I'm not worried about but I'm not too sure about my 3 yr old.

Our elf stays where he is all day.

I THINK if I put him anywhere low, 3 1/2 yr old DS would have a tough time controlling the urge to touch him! SO so far we only have done high up spots!

Re: Elf on a Shelf Question

our Elf stays in same spot all day.. my ds is 19 months and I have to remind him to look for him in the morning and if he is low then ds will definately not be able to not touch him so I keep him high up.

Re: Elf on a Shelf Question

My kids never even saw the box...he was positioned above the fridge on Day One and the book was on display on our counter..

I always put him very high up so they are not tempted...

and he stays there all day bec if "he is touched, he loses his magic after he is named" Chat Icon So according to the kids the elf is never touched Chat Icon

My DD is 3, we watched the Elf On A Shelf cartoon and she's so worried about ruining his magic and making him fall that she doesn't even think about touching him. She tells me every day, "We can't touch him Mommy, we don't want to ruin his special magic". Chat Icon
