I just don't think her INTENT was to be negative about the baby. If anything she may have meant that there is a HUGE potential for that child to grow up having the same political agenda and what some might consider half as*ed views about the world around him/her.
The baby might not be a moron - but the potential to be a counterproductive or useless member of society is higher when the person raising you is filling you with poison.
Whoa... that was way more philosophical than I meant to get. I just don't want to pile on for a comment that I am sure was not meant to be "That baby needs to be gotten rid of before it takes it's first breath."
ETA: Don't really know the OP so I am only GUESSING about what the intent was. I choose to believe that she didn't intend anything evil.
