Elliptical on Second Floor?
Does anyone live in a second story apartment and have an elliptical? DH and I saw an inexpensive on in BJs and would like to get one but we live on the top floor and don't want to bother the guy downstairs. We'd put it on a thick rug or mat, if that helps.

I'm not sure, but I don't think an elliptical would be too loud - definitely not as bad as a treadmill anyway...

We have one and it's on the second floor - it's completely silent We do have it on a rubber mat, but mainly to protect the wood floor.

My parent's have one on the second floor of their house and it does not make any noise. It is in a room that is carpeted.

I had one in a second floor apartment. I thought it was totally quiet, but the guy below said he could hear it.

we live on a second floor condo and we *had* one - had to sell it to make way for DS' nursery but we had no problems 
get the padded gel matt for under it
