I'm not on the LIRR anymore, but today, I got to sit in back of a nail clipper...
At this stage in my life, I always huff and puff and say...ewww...into his ear. He didn't really hear me I guess!

Clipping your tonails on the Train?????? I don't even let my DH do this in the bedroom!
I was on a Southwest flight once and i was seated in between two flight attendants. They were telling me their horror stories and the best was a woman that called one of them over to point out a man clipping his toenails. She asked if the Flight Attendant could kindly ask him to stop. The flight attendant said she really couldnt... Until the woman told her that one of his toe clippings had just landed in her drink!!!! Now that is DISGUSTING!

I think the letter is great and I don't even ride the LIRR.
The only thing is Newsday will most likely edit the length of the letter.

I commuted for five years and complained about so many of these things. I even remember someone cleaning his ears with q-tips.
I have so many complaints about the stupid people on the train but one more that comes to mind is men who decide their "package" is so big they need t spread their legs into the next person's seat. Close your legs!!
Sad thing is that this doesn't just happen on the train. DH and I were on an international flight returning home from Poland and the azz in front of us decided to spray cologne on himself in his seat and then the moron behind us sprayed hairspray. Could neither of these people go to the bathroom for these things????
