Espresso colored furniture with dark wood floors?
Do you think it will look too dark? The floors are a dark espresso color and the bedroom furniture we just ordered is a Black Cherry. DH is afraid that the room will be too dark but I thought that as long as I got light colored curtains and bedding it should be okay.
Also, we LOVE the BM color Adagio. Do you think it would work? If not, can you give me a few suggestions of colors? TIA!
Here's the furniture:

If you had white bed linens and white curtains, then I think it would be ok. For me personally, yes, it is too dark, but I am not the one living there. FWIW I have dark bedroom furniture, light walls, light floor, and blue/green bedding.

I would put a light colored area rug under the bed to break it up. I love the Adagio color.

I personally would do a lighter wall color, whatever shade that is just go like 1 or 2x lighter on the paint scale. The color WILL saturate on the four walls so it will prob end up looking like you want it. Also, definitely recommend to do a lighter area rug and bed sheet/comforter set if possible!

Adagio is not a dark color, IMO - it's my LR/hallway color and isn't as dark as the swatch you're showing. I think if you keep the bedding light (cream or white) and do a light area rug along with the light curtains, it will look beautiful.
How is the natural light in the room?
What kind of lighting do you have - pot lights, table lamps, etc?

There are two windows so there is a decent amount of natural light and two table lamps. I was thinking of having white curtains, white bedding with just a little bit of color, and a light rug under the bed. Maybe it's wishful thinking on my part that it will look good together because I love Adagio and love the dark wood floors and wouldn't want to have to change either!

I think it will look great. I have dark cherry floors and darker furniture downstairs, and it goes well (see my listing post for pics).
Love adagio w/dark accents.

I think it will look great BUT I like that look. It's just a matter of your taste. I've come to realize that I don't have to do things the "right" way, I used to obsess! If you just feel like you will like it and set it up to your taste, it will look awesome.
Also - I don't think Adagio is dark at all. Post pics when it's done! :)
