We stayed at the Holiday Express. It is about a 20 minute ride, but it is literally across the street from the Mystic Aquariuam. We went there the next day.

You can easily do it as a day trip. The kids slept on the ride home.

We did it as a day trip. If we stayed, we were going to stay in Mystic.
