Excessive Blinking... 3 y/o

DS has had something working on him for about a month (cold). He's on an antibiotic for sinus infection.

The last 2 nights he has been blinking like crazy. First night I noticed his lashes were long and maybe one got in his eye. I asked him if his eyes hurt - no.
Second night - this is odd - maybe he's tired. He's acting fine/alert.

Thought maybe it was because it was warm in the house and his eyes were dry - so I gave him 1 drop of Visine in each eye - still bliinking. (oh, that upset my mom - s/h/b kids' drops).

I asked the director at school today - she said that his teacher noticed it too - and school is kept cooler then my house.

There have been no changes in pets. I have had DS since Sunday night. Sunday he was at his dad's who has a Christmas tree - not sure if its real/fake. Didn't notice any blinking on Sunday.

Any ideas? Thoughts?

~Thanks~

OMG, so weird, DS just started doing this too. He is also 3.

He insists nothing is bothering him. Im thinking of taking him to the eye Dr, maybe he needs glasses and is trying to focus, its the only thing I can figure.
