faint line on PG test...
i went to my reg dr and took a urine pregnancy test there...the dr said there was a faint line and will let me know with blood work in 2-3 days if im definitely pregnant
he said he couldnt tell me for sure that i wasnt pregnant...
i came home, took 2 pregnancy tests they were both negative. did this ever happen to anyone? what was the outcome? i have no idea what to think...and the next few days i am going to go crazy not knowing!

a line is usually a line. did you go to the dr early in the morning? if so, that could be the reason you tested positive and then tested negative at home - especially if you drank a lot and diluted your urine.

You probably came home and didn't have enough of the hcg hormone to test positive. Try after holding it for a while, or tomorrow morning, it will probably show +.

i went to the dr at 4pm...took a pregnancy test in the A.M the next day, still negative...my MIL said she had a faint line before she had a miscarraige, and that maybe this pregnancy never became an actual pregnancy? so confusing! i keep hearing " a line is a line" i wish my dr would have showed me the test, i wanted to see the faint line!

exactly and could be the reasons PP said.. about HCG not strong enough in an afternoon test.. always test urine first thing in the morning..

I would be going insane too! The hardest part was waiting for the bloodwork to come back. The girls are right. You get a better result with your morning pee bc the hCG has built up overnight. Pee again tomorrow morning and let us know what you get. A line is a line and a line is BFP!!!

did you drink the LIF water??? It seems to be an addiction lately with all the BFPs popping up this month..
I cant believe he didnt show you the test.. what a tease!! Im sure it will all work out!

OMG i was hoping someone would say they had a faint line and it was a false positive....i did a PG test this AM and it was negative.

Just want to give you my experience...the same thing happened to me, I went for my annual, told the doctor we were TTC, they did a pregnancy test and there was a FAINT line. The doctor said he would like me to wait 2 weeks to test again since I was supposed to get AF within a week. Well I didn't listen and was really excited so I went home and told DH, we went out and got PG tests, and tested the next 3 days all positive. I had all the symptoms, felt pregnant, and 2 weeks went by and I didn't feel the same. I decided to take another test and it was negative along with 3 others I took after that. I called the doctor frantic and he sent me for blood work to double check. The day I went to do the blood work I got AF. They said it was a chemical pregnancy. We were both very upset. Luckily we kept trying and I am now 6 months! Goodluck to you whatever happens!!

thanks so much for telling me your experience...i read about a chemical pregnancy...maybe thats what is happening to me, did you have any spotting? i had some about 2 weeks ago...and with my other 2 pregnancies i had spotting 2 weeks before finding out i was PG. I am also having some stomach pains...did you have this with your chemical pregnancy as well?

No I did not have any spotting at all, I would get cramps on and off like I was getting AF. Good luck to you! I hope it works out!!
I was also told that sometimes it is too early and you get a negative when you really are pregnant, only the blood work can tell for sure that early I guess

Have you tried different brands (HPTs)? Different brands have different HCG sensitivity....
I was testing positive on the FRER 2 days before the dollar test showed a positive....so maybe that is your case??
It might just be too early to tell or it could be a chemical pregnancy.....GL to you!

My first HPT (at 10DPO) was SUPER faint.........in fact to see the line you really had to be in good light.  Each day it got darker and I am now 27 weeks so it was a BFP for sure!! Good luck!!
