Family Vacation Ideas
Where would you travel with 11, 9, and 5 year old girls that would be fun for them, but also not too crazy for me (I'm 20 weeks pregnant)?? We want to do a family vacation this summer, but I don't think I can handle Disney or anything like that...I'm not even sure if my doctor would recommend me flying since my blood pressure is borderline high at this point. I hate for my kids to miss out on a fun trip, but I can't imagine being on my feet for 16 hours in the heat! Ideas?

What about renting a house in fire island? This way you're only a ferry ride away from the doctor and you can spend it relaxing on the beach. I think Ocean beach has a kids club plus there's an arcade, movie theater, tons of restaurants, playground, etc.

How about a cruise leaving out of New York? They have activities and shows geared to your girls' age group and if they go to the kids club, you can relax a lot by the pool.

How about a Maine beach? It’s cooler up there (a plus for you), you’re not tooooo inaccessible from your doctors if you start to feel not to great, and it’s fun for those ages. We went when I was around 10 (York beach) and had a fun time.

I’ve done Florida beaches very pregnant (Naples) and a cruise pregnant (but the cut off for cruise is 24 weeks). Both were fine and the other kid(s) were very entertained.
Pick something you’d like and go for it! My BFF just got back from Paris while pregnant at 30 weeks. She had a great time and was OKed by OB.

She's too far along to cruise. They don't want you to be farther along than 24 weeks, typically.

I'm definitely not going to cruise...too pregnant and I am one of those lucky ones who has morning sickness for 9 whole months! Thanks for all of the suggestions!

Rent a gorgeous beach house on the Jersey Shore. Long Beach Island is awesome. Cape May is beautiful too, and close proximity to the Wildwood boardwalk so they can still get the amusement park feel.

Wow, I didn't know the cut off was so early! That was actually a sweet spot of my pregnancy, that few week window I wasn't sick or big as a house to enjoy myself.
In that case, parking yourself at a seaside getaway sounds like the best idea.
