Being someone who was once in your DH's position, he needs to suck it up and go. It's the holidays, your mom recently passed....things have been hard all around. Try and make it a semi- happy holiday. It's the boys first and they wanna see their grandpa I am sure. Last year, I pushed my DH to establish contact with my psychotic SIL who has done nothing but bash me, our relationship, and say horrible things that were tearing the family apart.

But it helped our relationship overall because I made his life a little better/easier....he knows and knew I had every right to despise and refuse to sit in the sameroom with her,but what does that accomplish. Bella was 3 1/2 months old when she finally met them...

Diane...I would bring the boys and leave everyone who is fighting with this one and that one fight themselves. Why put yourself in a situation you dont want to be in. Go for yourself. them not seeing your boys in 3 months is ultimately their problem. I think if you feed in to all this BS you are going to suffer the way it sounds like you are. Dont let everyones problems with each other ruin your Christmas. This happens in everyones families...dont you just love it!
