Favorite things that your DC says or does...

I love it when my DD says things incorrectly - I think it is so cute!

When she likes something, instead of saying "I love these socks" she says "I love it - socks"

Whenever she wants me to rock her in the rocking chair she says "Rock you - with a blanket"

What are your faves that your DC says or does right now

When DD says "mama, come" with her hands up when she wants to be picked up.

"gobble gobble" is still my favorite animal sound to hear, it doesn't get old when she says it at all

DD came over to me the other day and rested her head in my lap and said, "Mommy, your my friend!" It was the sweetest!

I like having her say words that start with "P" b/c she adds an "L" right after it....."ploblem" "Plablo" It's too cute!

eveytime I sneeze and its a lot (due to sever allegies) I get the cutest, "Bess you" from DD


And, we sing the ABC's and then i say,Ok you go:

She hums A- thru D and then goes, E F G eeeeeeee!

oh, where do I start

1. when miki says "mama boots, OFF" when we get home. She likes to help me unzip them and take them off

2. When she says "daddy funny" when DH makes her laugh. This is interchangable with "mommy, funny" or "sandy (the dog) funny (when she licks her"

3. When she says "I wuv mommy" after some prompting

4. When she says "bye bye tummy (tubby) and bye bye shower" while getting out of the tub

god, I am obsessed with her

eta - also, thanks to Deb, I want to add when I sneeze, she says "bless you" when I say "thank you" she says "you're welcome mama"




Thought of a few more:

She gives me raspberries and she tickles my feet while saying "tickle, tickle"

SOOO many things DS says melt my heart, the conversations we havce are hysterical, but this is my most recent fav!

He goes to daycare 2 days a week, so he misses us towards the afternoon and will start to tell his teacher "i miss mommy and daddy". The teacher will tell him that mommy and daddy will be here soon and he will say "momy and daddy are working?" The teacher says yes and he says "mommy and daddy making money?".
When I pick him up, the teacher is always telling me this because she finds it hysterical. Now when I drop him off, he says "mommy going to work?" I say yes love and he says "mommy making money?"


ETA: everynight on the way home he sings the entire Barney song "i love you, you love me". No idea where he learned that from since we never watch Barney. But instead of saying "a kiss from me to you" he will blow a kiss and then continues to sing "from me to you".

One more...when he wants something he will say "pleeeeeeeeeaaaaase" and puts his hands together as if he is begging!

when she wants me to pick her up she says "mama, I pick you up" LOL

she says "I lobbe you"

The way she yells at me "I dont take a rest" when its nap time

I love when DD goes off in her own little world when shes playing and she'll start to run/walk then stop and make funny noises like she's talking to someone

I LOVE LOVE LOVE when she goes "uh-oh" when she drops/throws something on the ground or something goes wrong and "wooooah" when something amazes her

I also love when I walk in her room to take her out of her crib and she greets me with a huge smile and then hands me everything inside of her crib with this innocent face.

When I ask DS to do "funny Face" and he closes his eyes real tight and makes a big smile

When DS hears "Itsy Bitsy Spider" he does the spider going up the web for the entire song

When out of nowhere he just gives me a big hug

DD isn't talking yet, but I LOVE watching her go 'round and 'round the coffee table. She can amuse herself for a solid 15 minutes just cruising around in a circle.

too many to list...

but here are a few that make me laugh every time.

if the phone rings, she will put whatever she has in her hand, up to her ear and babble. could be her play phone or a block, she just talks.

when she stands behind me when i'm playing on the floor with her and i say "where's amelia" she will peek her head around me with a big smile on her face. sometimes she starts laughing before she peeks her head, b/c she thinks its sooo funny.

now that she knows where the kixs are, she points to the box and says something that sounds like "kix."

DS is 16 mos old and is has been recently stringing words together to form sentences or using words or phrases in their correct format.

When we leave for school in the morning, he'll wave at my DH and say "Bye Bye Dada" and then point to my car and say "Go school" so to be sure his daddy knows where he's going to be.

When he's done eating or drinking, he'll rub his hands together and say "All done".

My absolute favorite is when he wakes up in the morning. I'll hear him on the monitor and he's making up songs and singing to himself. You can't understand 1/2 of what he's saying but it's just so cute. When we do go into this room, he gets so excited and yells "Hi Mama" or "Hi Dada" and start jumping up and down".

It's just all so cute!

There are so many it's hard to choose, but here are just a few.

- I say I love you and she says "I you mama"
- she calls a bus a butt
- lately she likes to ask everything if they're ok. I picked her up early today because I went home sick. I pick her up and she says Hi mama, are you ok? It's like she knew or something.
- she calls crackers something that rhymes with duckers, but begins with an f. I guess she has a hard time with the "cr" sound

I love his chit chat and babble, and that he can ask for stuff now. And understand us.

I love that he always wants to sit in DH's recliner to watch Dora at night

every morning he is standing next to my bed...spoon in one hand and ovaltine in the other. I have tested him, he will stand there not saying a word till I open my eyes....

once I open them, he says milk please.

then leo says buenos dias...josh tries to say it back...then looks at me, milk please...

when I get up, he say yeah! and puts his arms up in the air.

when I give him the milk, he does the dorkiest thing ever...

he says "yessssssssssssss" and makes that bent elbow, fist that goes backwards..

and he says "awww mom" I think its because on dora, swiper says aww man..so he switched it up.

Gets excited and Smiles when I take out the camera

Loves to "talk" on the cell phone

Gives mommy the wettest, sloppiest most delicious kisses ever.

Reaches out for my when sittiing in his playpen.

i don't know why she does this but after she says a word she adds a "D" to it, so it's:

There are so many, but I love when Ava asks to look at pictures from when me and JT got "marryended"
Also, and I would never tell her this because I don't really want her saying this, but I love when I ask her, "How about some cereal for breakfast?" and her response is, "Ummm, how about not." It's a secret fave of mine.

She loves holding hands right now

WHen she puts all of my shoes is the tub-it is so funny. I don't understand it but I find it funny.

Why she stomps her feet when she is angry-this just started so it is still cute.

Hugs-she'll come running at you with a hug.

ETA: Tickles your toes, she grabs you toes and tickles you. She laughs more than we do

Ryan doesn't do a whole lot.

But I love when he is nursing and he looks up at me and smiles.

Also, love when he is nursing and rubs my arm.

DD: After I comb her hair and put in her ponytails or clips, she runs to the mirror, runs her hands over her hair and says "I'm so pretty mommy"

DS: Just is kisses before bed, when I drop him at school, and when I pick him up.

right now my favorite thing he does is "talk"

he says "ooh ooh" and "ahh" a lot when he is in his bouncer or jumperoo - i think he is talking to his monkey and frog friends

but a close second is when he cries and i go to pick him up - and he gives me his best, biggest smile, like he knows i am going to make it all better

i say "close second" because of the crying part
