Feeding schedule for 5-month old?
Was just wondering what everyone else's DC was consuming at 5 months and how much? And how important do you think a strict feeding schedule is? TIA!

Re: Feeding schedule for 5-month old?
My boys are bigger then the normal 5 month old was...but they got 5 8 oz bottles (about every 3 hours...but the would let me know if they were hungry). They got cereal in the monring (about an hour after their 1st bottle) and then a fruit or veggie (level 1) at around 1ish and then around 6ish (right before last bottle of the night).
I like having the schedule. So do the boys...so it works for me.

Re: Feeding schedule for 5-month old?
I don't know of this will be helpful, but Luca is 4 months and eats 6oz at each feeding and will be starting cereal next week. He still mostly BF so I can't be exactly sure on the ounces, but that what he takes from a bottle- whether BM or formula. This is his current schedule... 7am- 6oz 10am- 6oz 1pm- 6oz 4pm- 6oz 6:30ish- 6oz 4am- 6oz

Thanks...DD's sleep is still not consistent (doesn't like napping), so her feeding schedule hasn't been. I am figuring if we have a more rigid feeding pattern, maybe that will help naps and bedtime fall into place better.

The sleeping and eating effect the other greatly. Once you get feeding down pat, you'll be able to have them sleep more regularly.
In addition to solid foods, my boys had 7.5oz bottles / 4x a day.
