feeding solids question: 7 month olds
Should I be giving him anything besides regular baby food yet? Like snacks, yogurt, small pieces or tastes of regular food? If so, what exactly is ok/not okay for him to try? I tried puffs the other day but hes not ready for that yet he put it in his mouth and didn't know what to do and started to gag until I took it out of his mouth.

DS feeds himself puffs..and he had small bits of my bagel..the soft bread part..he seems really interested in food lately.. we just started yogurt.. he loves it.. some peds want you to wait on the yogurt so I'd ask that.
If DS gaged on puffs..id wait and try again in a few weeks..

You can start by making the purred food a little bit chunkier... if you don't think he gets it yet... all babies are different...
During my DD 7th month (who just turned 8 months) I introduced Yogurt, Egg Yoke Scrambled and hard boiled (not the white its an allergen and a choking hazard), Broccoli pcs, Mango Pcs, Banana pcs... etc so you can def OVER steam the broccoli and make it almost mushy for him to get the gist... or give him chunky banana puree to see how he reacts.
I haven't tried any puffs or anything...
Good Luck! Its SO much easier!
