Re: Feeding therapy - anyone
Feeding issues are the worst :( I have learned EI does not have great feeding therapists. St. Mary's in bayside has an excellent feeding program. Call and ask for an application. Good luck!

How old is you DS? Since he is losing weight talk to your pediatrician. St Mary's is rgreat but I think they are inpatient only.

Are the feeding issues because of oral or swallowing issues or just because he is picky. If it is oral or swallowing definitely demand feeding therapy. EI will supply. They have SLPs that specialize in feeding therapy along with different programs run through the hospitals. I think St. Charles has one as well.
We have feeding issues as well but it's not a medical issue so we were denied feeding therapy. It was and is a tedious process and feeding is a nightmare. At 8 she still only eats a handful of items. For her it is a textural issue and she has to eat something crunchy with all meals or she can't swallow it.

I don't know anything about them but I saw in the Queens parenting magazine it said Janine Stein's speech-pathology center also offers feeding therapy.

Feeding therapy - anyone
Thanks everyone He is doing a little bit better , we successfully reintroduced the pancakes and he is eating them ! I know the problem is still there , I am trying to make him eat atleast a small 1 mouthful of a new food whenever we have something different
He still refuses to drink milk which I still have to give with a syringe and fight to get some yogurt in, but they are getting in
I did look up saint marys and also there is a program called saint joseph in newjersey as well as a childrens hospital in blythedale in westchester county
Just mentioning these names if anyone else ever is in my spot Thanks
